This role will sit within the digital engineering team which is part of global marketing. A constantly evolving web presence is necessary remain competitive and this front-end developer role is critical to that goal.

Responsibilities
i) Deliver high quality, web development solutions quickly from UI designs provided by the Senior Frontend Engineers using HTML, CSS, JS and JS frameworks (e.g. ReactJS).
ii) Work with the product team to understand key user journeys and implement development solutions to improve the user experience on a range of BlackRock.com websites.
iii) Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure wide consultation and engagement in new projects.
iv) Understand the company’s strategic aims and apply this understanding to ensure the effective delivery of services in support of these aims.
v) Respond to requests for work by gathering information about existing procedures and practices and use your judgement and knowledge to implement solutions to improve efficiency and information flow.
vi) Seek, develop, and maintain relationships with colleagues and professionals within the field of IT & Marketing.
vii) Work independently when required or as part of a project team as needed.
viii) Maintain and enhance your professional knowledge and pass on best practice in software development to your peers.

Requirements
1. A degree in computer science or relevant discipline.
2. Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in developing web solutions.
3. Ability to work together in an environment of equality, trust and respect to deliver services that strive to exceed the needs and expectations of our stakeholders.
4. Ensures that all work maintains WCAG AA accessibility standards and W3C standards.
5. Proven experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and frameworks/libraries such as ReactJS and jQuery.
6. Understanding of software engineering design patterns and practices.
7. Experience of working with remote teams.
8. Experience of troubleshooting and maintenance in a similar large enterprise web environment.
9. Ability to effectively communicate and support colleagues.
10. Experience with version control systems such as GIT.
11. Experience with Azure DevOps.
12. Experience working on multi-lingual websites.
