Internship Title: Software Development Engineer Intern
Location: Sao Paulo Office
Internship for: Students
Responsibilities
i) Collaborate with experienced cross-disciplinary Amazonians to conceive, design, and bring innovative products and services to market.
ii) Collaborate to design and build innovative technologies in a large distributed computing environment, and help lead fundamental changes in the industry.
iii) Collaborate to create solutions to run predictions on distributed systems with exposure to innovative technologies at incredible scale and speed.
iv) Collaborate to build distributed storage, index, and query systems that are scalable, fault-tolerant, low-cost, and easy to manage/use.
v) Ability to design and code the right solutions starting with broadly defined problems.
vi) Work in an agile environment to deliver high-quality software.
Basic Qualification
i) Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field conferral date between June 2025 and June 2026 at the time of application
ii) Knowledge of the syntax of languages such as Java, C/C++ or Python.
iii) Knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals such as object-oriented design, algorithm design, data structures, problem-solving, and complexity analysis.
iv) Ability to work from the Sao Paulo Office a minimum of three times per week.
Preferred Qualification
i) Experience with distributed, multi-tiered systems, algorithms, and relational databases.
ii) Experience in optimization mathematics such as linear programming and nonlinear optimization.
iii) Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions.
iv) Adept at handling ambiguous or undefined problems as well as the ability to think abstractly.
v) Proficient written and verbal communication in Portuguese
vi) Intermediate knowledge of English
